My hair is a force to be reckoned with. It’s baby fine, color treated, and scattered with kinky curls. Whether I style it via blowdryer, flat iron, or curling iron it always ends up looking messy and undone (and not in the Olsen twin kinda way). Fed up and frustrated I usually resort to throwing it up in a bun. Doing hair on others is a breeze but doing my own is certainly not!
One day while blow drying my hair and feeling like my arms were going to fall off, it donned on me, that maybe my shampoo and conditioner were to blame. I’ve always read and heard that most shampoos and conditioners (even the expensive ones) are chalked full of detergents and waxes that strip your hair and weigh it down. That would explain my dry ends and oily scalp. With this thought in mind I set out on a quest in search of the perfect shampoo and conditioner.
Okay, maybe the word quest is a bit dramatic but I did go to Sephora and wound up purchasing Rahua shampoo and conditioner. Rahua is a one hundred percent natural and cruelty free brand that formulates all of there products without parabens, sulfates, and dyes. Instead, they use plant botanicals and other natural ingredients that help to cleanse and condition the hair.
I took my new goodies home and after about two weeks, I could tell a significant difference in my hair. My hair felt shinier, softer to the touch, and my roots didn’t get oily by midday. I even got compliments from clients and my hairstylist!
I am definitley hooked and will be repurchasing once I run out. I still use heat on my hair everyday but I am not longer forced to throw up into a bun!
